Ultimate Victory through Defeat and Terrible Loss

What does this theme signifies with relation to the story? As I know for all the things that happened to Aeneas, he needs to have the courage to survive or to surpass the circumstances/disturbances to him in finding his new land which is the City of Rome. He was destined there to live when the City of Troy was destroyed by the Greeks that night. But before he can claim the new homeland, in the story they are many lives also who sacrificed themselves just to protect or not destroy the arrival of Aeneas to Rome. Such as, his father Anchises who died in somewhat part of the Book III.

With all of those hardships and his loss from the Greeks who destroyed the City of Troy. It's not the time to stop him to his journey through the City of Rome which is destined to him.  Those loss and defeat enables him to have more courage to fight with the enemies and surpass all the disturbances to his journey. Aeneas signifies the epic of arms and heroism. I can say that he is a great warrior in the story. That scenes makes the book very interesting.
